Optimization of Nitrogen Efficiency and Soil Fertility Through the Holistic Consideration and Correlation of Individual Nutrients (implementation)
Nitrogen (N) in excess originating from agricultural sources, results in nitrate leaching into ground/surface waters and airborne emissions. Measures to reduce these emissions consider a reduced N-supply and an increase in N-efficiency. The Albrecht method recommends fertilization based on a soll analysis of micro- and macronutrients regarding the soil and the effect and interaction of the individual nutrients.
The goal of the project is to quantitatively assess the impact of the Albrecht/Kinsey Method on nitrogen
efficiency in the crop rotation of sugar beet, wheat, and potato. The project is based on trials conducted in high, medium, and low-yield zones, which are fully randomized with four repetitions and set up as plot-exact trials.
Results and the Final report will be found here, as soon as the project is completed.
