Project Title

Agroforestry timber production from innovative cultivation systems in Schleswig-Holstein

Project description

AHOI.SH strengthens regional value chains for wood from agroforestry systems. The project collects and analyzes crop production, wood technology, and economic data to better understand and utilize the potential of these multifunctional cultivation systems. The aim is to combine ecological services such as soil and climate protection with economic benefits for agricultural businesses. By evaluating yields, qualities, and utilization paths, agroforestry systems are to be further developed in a practical manner and their regional wood utilization optimized. AHOI.SH thus provides a sound basis for decision-making for businesses and contributes to the sustainable use of resources in Schleswig-Holstein.
